Cuban Adventure Plan:

Day 1:

“Arrival in Havana”:Eduardo will collect you from the airport and take you to casas particulares. You will be living with Cubans in their homes, however just like in a hotel – in a fully intimate manner in rooms along Malecón overlooking the sea, with private bathrooms and fridge for cold drinks. Your rooms will be cleaned everyday so that you can feel like on real holiday. The owners, native Cubans will prepare a welcoming dinner for your arrival. If you arrive very early in the morning you can of course choose from a number of additional options while waiting for the welcoming dinner. Night 1.

Day 2:

“Hawana Day”: breakfast in casas particulares, 30-minute salsa session with a qualified instructor as a warm-up. You will get to visit the old town La Habana Vieja and see 16th-century castles and forts, 18th-century Senate and Capitol, cathedral, monastery, 17th-century church, Garcia Lorca Great Theatre and 1792 Town Hall, Fabrica de Tabacos Partagas and rum museum. We offer a ride in a classic Chevrolet convertible of Flamingo Taxi. A delicious dinner in the castle and Cannon Shots ceremony in the evening. Night 2.

Day 3:

“Hemingway/Mojito/Musica day” : breakfast in casas particulares. Today your legs will get to rest a little. You will reach all interesting Ernest Hemingway-related places on two-person bikes or rickshaws: Floridita, Bodeguita del Medio, Ernest Hemingway Museum. You will get to see and experience everything – Mojito, Piña Colada, Cuba Libre, Daikiri; those are also traditional Cuban flavours. In the evening, something special – Buena Vista Social Club concert and a chance for you to practice first salsa steps you had learned from the instructor. Feel free to eat dinner during the concert. Night 3.

Day 4:

“Tarara”: breakfast in casas particulares, packing and departure to fabulous beach in Tarara for 2 days, as everyone has to take a rest after demanding sightseeing of Havana. You will be lodged in a villa by the beach. In the evening our crew will set up barbecue for you in the rhythm of Latino music accompanied by traditional drinks. Night 4.

Day 5:

“Tarara”: breakfast in the villa, free time for sunbathing. Feel free to enjoy the sound of waves, wonderful turquoise of the sea and give yourself over to the nature. Return to Havana at approx. 7 p.m. Night 5.

Day 6:

“Havana Night”: breakfast in casas particulares. Spend this day doing anything you like, shopping or rest and relaxation. In the evening we will take you to Fabrica de Arte Cubano where you will get to know Cuban art, architecture and culture a little more. You will be completely surrounded with music, dance, photography, painting, theatre, fashion and graphics. After this considerable amount of knowledge there is an option for clubbing for volunteers. Night 6.

Day 7:

“Havana day”: breakfast in casas particulares and further exploration of Havana, perhaps from a slightly different perspective after a visit in Fabrica de Arte Cubano. We will visit Hugo’s house, museum of revolution and if possible, peek at dolphins, maybe even stroke one. Night 7.

Day 8:

“Free time”: breakfast in casas particulares. Spend this day on your own way. We can recommend some interesting places in Havana, a trip to nature reserve in Viñales, swimming and fishing on the Yacht in Tarara. Let Eduardo know and he surely will arrange something entertaining for you. Night 8.

Day 9:

“Free time”: breakfast in casas particulares, perhaps you would like to practice salsa some more? Our instructor will gladly give you a couple of new lessons. Eduardo can offer you extra activities: a trip to Viñales, a ride in a convertible through Havana, another trip to Tarara for a boat or sunbathing, the choice is up to you. Lunch/dinner at your own expense. Night 9.

Day 10:

“Return”: breakfast in casas particulares, transfer to the airport at due time.
